Horse No. 1
A bronze horse in the posture of submission — head bowed, neck curved, entirely still. The form is abstract but the gesture is ancient: this is how the animal has always been depicted when it belongs to someone.
Cast in metal with a warm tortoiseshell patina — amber, copper, and dark oxidised bronze moving across the surface in the manner of something genuinely old. The irregular base plate grounds it without fuss. It sits on a desk, a shelf, or a mantelpiece as if it has always been there.
Material: Metal, antique bronze finish
Dimensions: 26 × 8 × 18 cm (10.2" × 3.1" × 7.1")
Weight: 2 kg
Care: Wipe with a dry cloth. The patina will deepen over time — this is correct.
A faint rattle may occasionally be heard when the piece is moved. This is characteristic of traditional bronze casting — small particles sealed within the form during production. It does not affect the integrity of the sculpture.
